Position Purpose: This person has complete management responsibility for the timely and profitable completion of projects assigned to him/her. Responsible for creating an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort. Reporting responsibilities are to company leadership, and includes light to moderate human resource tasks.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
TEAM SUPPORT
 Be a cooperative team member to ensure smooth operations in the work environment.
 Manage all project team meetings. Important to ensure clear direction and communication at all times. Make and save meeting notes.
 Manage subcontractors, including onsite labor contractors to ensure proper execution. Provide daily communication and support and react to site needs. Make and save communication notes with site and subs.
 Attend weekly Production Meetings, report on project status, and discuss challenges and potential problems.
 Manage team travel including flights, per diem, lodging and ground transportation.
 Define and oversee design/engineering and shop drawings, ensuring all documents align with project requirements and are fit for fabrication and/or installation. Save redlines and notes for reference.
CLIENT SUPPORT
 Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with the client.
 Generate project schedule and milestones using MS Project. Maintain the currency of schedule.
 Create and/or manage project manuals/closeout documentation when contractually required.
 Ensure proper quality and contractual compliance of all fabricated items, both internal and external.
PROJECT SUPPORT
 Manage a project from contract award through final closeout, ensuring faithful execution, company profit, and customer satisfaction.
 Provide support to Department Heads as required ensuring thorough understanding and execution of project scope, budget and schedule.
 Work with the Purchasing Department to identify and acquire specialty materials and subcontractors.
 Assist in estimating as may be required from time-to-time.
 Work through the Project Manager’s Checklist found on the V-Drive. Print a copy once completed.
COMPANY SUPPORT
 Meet or exceed the project’s margin by managing payroll and material budgets.
 Establish and maintain appropriate documentation including client communications, change orders, internal communications, budget changes, safety records, etc.
 Attend weekly Job Cost Meeting, accurately report on the budget, forecasted costs, and schedule.
 Conduct project reviews after completion including written reports, closeout documentation and job review with team and executives.
 Responsible for other tasks and duties as may be assigned from time-to-time.le.
 Define and oversee design/engineering and shop drawings, ensuring all documents align with
project requirements and are fit for fabrication and/or installation.
 Ensure proper quality and contractual compliance of all fabricated items, both internal and
external.
 Make essential filings as required by the project, including Notice-to-Owner, OCIP, CCIP,
permitting, etc.
 Work with the Purchasing Department to identify and acquire specialty materials and
subcontractors, as required.
 Manage subcontractors, including onsite labor contractors to ensure proper execution of the
subcontracts.
 Generate invoicing in compliance with contract documents and track payments.
 Assist in collections on outstanding invoices as requested by Accounting.
 Generate and track all Requests for Information.
 Establish and maintain appropriate documentation including client communications, change
orders, internal communications, budget changes, safety records, etc.
 Attend weekly Production Meetings, report on project status, discuss challenges and potential
problems and collaborate in resource scheduling.
 Attend weekly Job Cost Meeting, accurately report on the budget, forecasted costs, and schedule.
 Provide monthly sales volume forecasts, based upon the percentage of completion, by the 15th
day of each month.
 Manage team travel including flights, per diem, lodging and ground transportation.
 Create and/or manage project manuals/closeout documentation when contractually required.
 Conduct project reviews after completion including written reports, closeout documentation
and job review with team and executives.
 Assist in estimating as may be required from time-to-time.
 Responsible for other tasks and duties as may be assigned from time-to-time.
